About the Indian Council of Astrological Sciences
Before briefing about the India Council of Astrological Science and its role in promoting Astrology, let us first understand what Astrology is.
Astrology is known as the knowledge which explains planetary motion and position as well as Time ( काल) and their effect on all of us.
It is said to be the philosophy of discovering and analysing past impulses and future actions of both individuals and the nations in the light of Planetary configuration.
Astrology is said to be the science which comprises the fore telling of the regular movement of the planets, the fortunes and misfortunes of men and fates of nation.
Dr. B.V Raman , the founder of ICAS has defined astrology ” as the science of correlation of astronomical facts with terrestrial events”at one place and at another place said” Astrology connects time, space and mature together and demonstrate the synchronised as well as causality of deterministic principles
It would appear that astrology is a divine science which correlates astronomical movement of planets with physical, psychic and soul responses
ROLE OF INDIAN COUNCIL OF ASTROLOGICAL SCIENCES
ICAS was founded by Dr. B.V. Raman in Nov1984 and presently headed by Shri A . B. Shukla , IAS .
It is a national body to organise and promote the study and research of Vedic astrology. The headquarter of ICAS is at Chennai and operates as a registered national body with 56 chapters in India.
Dr. B.V. Raman is known as the father of modern astrology.
ICAS was founded with the objective to promote and standardize the study of jyotish ( Vedic astrology) , nadi , vastu science.
ICAS is a formal registered apex body of top notch astrologers of the country involved in imparting education, conducting examinations and awarding certificates to the students.
To achieve this objective, ICAS has developed an elaborate syllabus for dissemination of the knowledge of Astrological Science and allied subjects and imparting education and conduct examinations in 56 chapters all over India.
Panchkula chapter is one amongst all.
It will assist students to conduct scientific research in learning jyotish and allied shastras
the vedha , vedang and vedanta.
The faculty will provide guidelines for conducting research on classical works such as
Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra , Brihat Jatak ,
Sarvarth Chintamani , Jatak Parijat , Jatak Tatwa
Prashna Marg and other relevant ancient classical works in the field of Astrology as well as writings of modern day scholars in Astrology.
